I am Dayle (the female). I was born in Las Vegas, NV and grew up there until I began attending CU Boulder in Colorado. No... my dad isn't a poker player, my mom isn't a stripper, and I did not grow up in a hotel; however, I did grow up observing art in many different forms that are the basis of the attractions, entertainment, night life, and hotels/casinos.
I first became interested in digital art when I began to see all the art forms that make life more graphically and visually enjoyable. I began to see art in everything I enjoyed. Once I learned that I was interested in art, I dabbled with photography, ceramics, painting and drawing. I also discovered an interest in crafting my own items and clothing that I see in stores.
Growing up in private school was not the ideal idea of openness to creativity: most everything is required to be uniform and "by the textbook." I realized this when I moved away to college and learned that there is not always one correct way to do something. My philosophy in life relates to art because I believe that your opinion should be the only one that matters. That being said, I think the things done in life are only to be judged by your meaning and intention in actions, no one else's. For that, I make art because of what I am feeling like, not what I feel like others would like to see. I make art because no one can tell me that I did it incorrectly.
I do not have a predominant medium for making art: I like to experiment with any forms I find interesting.
